Am I not allowed to submit a game unless it has been assessed for rating?

You are not required to pass the rating categorization assessment in order to apply to the 2024 Burning Beaver Game & Culture Festival. Nevertheless, all exhibited games must adhere to the classification criteria of the Game Content Rating Board. Applicants should check individually with pertinent agencies regarding the rating assessment of their games.

Can I make changes to the application form once it has been submitted?

You can make changes to the application form until the applications are closed. Any changes must be made directly by the applicant before re-submitting. If you have trouble changing the existing application form, you should submit a newly filled out application form, after which you should notify us via the KakaoTalk channel “Burning Beaver.” The most recently submitted materials will be reviewed if more than one application is made with the same game.

What should the video showcasing the game contain?

We recommend a video with both a trailer and gameplay footage, but there are no strict guidelines.

You can upload the video to your personal YouTube channel and provide us with the URL.

How can I submit a mobile game?

For mobile games, you must provide an Android APK file. (* PC build: Optional)

An IOS build submission is not allowed.

Can a game be submitted if it is still unfinished?

Yes. Games that are still in the developing stages or have not been released can be submitted.

Is there a minimum play time for the review or demo build?

No. The only restriction is that the file must be 2GB or less in size.

Is there a file size limit for the game build?

A compressed file of a maximum of 2GB can be submitted.

Do I have to submit a build for a game that has been released?

You must provide a Google link to the build, even if the game has been released. (* Links to the store and other sources are not acceptable.)

Can games for platforms other than PC or mobile be submitted?

Only PC and mobile games are eligible for submission. Also, if hardware other than PC or mobile is needed to play the game, it will be excluded from review.

Can I make changes to the build during the application period?

You can change the build on Google Drive during the application period. However, the game will be disqualified from selection if changes to the build or replacements occur after the applications are closed.

Can I see the benefits of 2024 Burning Beavers in detail?

Benefits to developers whose games are chosen for exhibition in the 2024 Burning Beaver Indie Game & Culture Festival

1) Accommodation: One room for two people per team will be provided.

2) Meals: Lunch will be provided during the festival exhibition.

3) Booth and other provisions: Exhibition equipment (PC or mobile), table, chairs, and others

4) Creators’ lounge: There will be a lounge area for the exclusive use of developers and a snack zone.

When can I apply?

2024 Applications are open between August 23 (Fri) and September 23 (Mon). You can apply on the “Burning Beaver” homepage.
